Setting Post Processor Configurations within Woodwork for Inventor CAM

Since the introduction of Woodwork for Inventor CAM v9 we can now save different post processor configurations against different machines. This quick tip will show you how.

To setup a configuration, simply navigate to the CNC Machines Dialogue and choose your machine name you wish to edit. Select the configuration and the processor editor will open.

CNC Config 1

The processor editor will show the configuration as default as below.

CNC Config 2

Select the Duplicate button and give the configuration a name. In this case I’ve called it Biesse_CFG_1

CNC Config 3

You can set the configuration as active by using the drop down list. In CFG 1 we have Side hole position set to False.

CNC Config 4

Here we have created a 2nd configuration Biesse_CFG_2 and set the side hole position definition to True

CNC Config 5

When returning to the CNC Machine dialogue you can set the configuration of post processor directly against the machine. If you have an additional machine copied from the first machine you can now set the alternative post configuration.
