Automatic Naming of Solid Bodies ready for Cabinet Work

Working with multi body solids for creating a furniture cabinet, I was asked if there was a way to change the default name of the multi body solids from Solid1, Solid2, Solid3 etc to say Panel1, Panel2, Panel3 etc. as the majority of solid extrusions are likely to be panels.

1. By editing the default Solid name under Document Settings>Modeling> Naming prefixing to say Panel in this example is the easiest way to automate the process.

2. Rename the description in the Solid bodies prefixing dialog to Panel.

3. When creating new extrusions, each solid body will be automatically named as shown in the browser tree.

Your part is now ready to be made into Assembly.
